California (Part 1 of 2)

All the Hornibrooks went down to California at the end of last week for Tyler's Great-Grandma Rote's funeral. She was just a month shy of her 103rd birthday. I only had the opportunity to visit with her twice since we've been married, but she was a strong, confident and great lady! Her funeral was beautiful. I have pictures, but they are on my other Sim card so the first half of our trip is for another blog.

Here are some of our pictures from the 2nd day we went to Disneyland with Tyler's family. The first day it was just the three of us, those pictures are for another blog as well.

Cookie Lovers

I am a fan of cookies. Even more than cookies, I love cookie dough. So it was no surprise that when we were over at my parents house yesterday for Sunday dinner, Lucy kept asking her Mama Cindy for some cookie dough. She truly is my daughter! She was given a cookie, but no dough. Today was no different. Lucy kept asking for cookie dough. When a girl has got a craving you have got to help her out. So tonight after we cleaned her playroom we made cookies. You can see that Lucy got her fix. It is too bad I didn't think to feed her dinner first because she hardly touched it after eating so much dough. Ooops. Without Tyler in town, we can eat dessert first right?!!

We stayed in our jammies all day. My mom keeps a spare pare at her house, so we used them last night before we drove home. She stared out the day with the matching bottoms, but we changed after nap time. She wanted to wear the dinosaur shirt so bad, why not?!!

I got 6 pictures of this girl, all with her eyes closed. She makes this cheesy face for the camera and it translates to this (see below). Tyler has our Nikon this week and I miss it dearly! I can get 3 pictures in for every one with my simple point and shoot. Sigh...

P90X

Tyler has been doing P90X for over a month now (90-day program) where he works out at home instead of the gym. Usually workouts are done at 5:15 in the morning, but about 2x a week (including Saturday) Tyler does it after dinner. Lucy LOVES to 'workout with daddy.' Often times she even begs to workout after Tyler walks in the door. She'll go to the closet and get out the mats and start to set them up. It is beyond cute that she wants to be with her daddy so badly.

Let's just say that after the warm-up and stretching is completed, Lucy is more seeking the attention of her daddy than an actual workout. Mommy is doing dishes at this point so I don't feel sorry for Tyler's 29 added pounds at all!
